Readings by a different local published poet each month and this month we delighted to welcome JANE SHARP

Jane Sharp is a poet from Barnsley. She’s been published in The Dalesman, Dream Catcher, Voices for Change, and the online zines Fig Tree, 60 Odd Poets and The Starbeck Orion, has had work in various anthologies and broadcast on BBC Radio. She won the Nine Lives Slam in Sheffield and has headlined at several poetry events.

Lola Campbell plays 12 year old Georgie Campbell whose mother has just died. To prevent herself from being fostered or put in care, she pretends she’s being looked after by a non existent uncle. Georgie makes money by stealing bikes and selling them for scrap. And then one day a man, played by Harris Dickinson, crawls over the back fence and says he’s her long lost father…

Lou’s Safari are a piano trio from Leeds, focused on playing standards and original material in an open and conversational way.

Born out of the Leeds jazz scene, and visiting the stages of Matt and Phreds, The Domino, Wakefield Jazz, and others, Joseph Frost-Tesfaye (piano), Harry Souter (double bass) and Louis Berthoud (drums) have played together in various arrangements for nearly 4 years, but in the last last year began performing together as a trio.

Ghostly Hounds is the folk project of Francesca Mirai, singer-songwriter-banjo player based in the Lekwungen territory colonially known as Victoria, BC.

Ghostly Hounds creates soulful folk and old-time music with a distinct, haunting sound.  Classically trained, powerhouse vocals, evokes a fusion of modern and vintage sounds, while simple foot percussion infuses dynamics, drive, and rhythm into their live shows.
