Children will explore the world of animal painting in this creative and educational workshop. Age 7 - 12.

10 am - 3 pm.

Taking inspiration from historical artists such as Sir Edwin Landseer, George Stubbs, and Sir Peter Paul Rubens, young artists will discover how animals have been portrayed through history in fine art.

They will develop their drawing skills through observational sketching, learning about proportion and how to capture movement and character. Using acrylic paints, children will experiment with colour mixing and brushwork techniques to bring their animal paintings to life.

This workshop is led by Emma-Jayne Emmott, a qualified teacher, professional photographer and resident artist at The Otley Courthouse.

Children will need to bring a snack and packed lunch.
