A Matisse On Your Mantelpiece?
This weekend Leeds Art Gallery opens its doors for the latest Picture Library selection event. It's a great chance to bags yourself some original art for a year and then swap it for something else! Axis Web thought it was such a fabulous thing they made a film about how to get involved.
Everything is going to be Super!
We are giddy to announce that we are helping to bring a splash of fun and colour to Leeds Train Station this autumn. We’ve been beavering away with the brilliant Network Rail team and with the eagle eyes of design from Colours May Vary to commission a new artwork for the pedestrian footbridge inside the station.
Project Nimbus: Horses In The Clouds
Last weekend on a hot and sunny afternoon we spent two hours in a darkened room in Leeds Museum along with 250 or so other people. We were there to hear artist Dave Lynch and chemical physicist Mike Nix share the story of Project Nimbus, a mad-cap crazy idea to project moving images onto clouds from the ground, sea level and aircraft including: planes, paragliders & hot air balloons.

Theatre Of Illumination
Following the much loved Momentous by Illuminos in 2013 Leeds Inspired are delighted to announce that Leeds based Omni Pictures will create a new projection, Theatre Of Illumination, to reimagine the front of Leeds Civic Hall into a vision of the future.
Leeds Inspired Postcards 2014
Introducing our See What's Out There postcard illustrations 2014 by artists Caroline Pratt, Dan Dowker, Rachel Davey and Anna Peaker. We love the fact that they stand out as individual images with their distinct personalities.
They also work perfectly as a set of four - although if we're honest this was a serendipitous accident!
A Very Reggae Christmas To You!
A fine time was had by all at the second of our Woolly Warmer mini music concerts last weekend with mellow and uplifting sounds from Leeds' band A Dread Supreme. Their reggae take on traditional Christmas carols got people up and dancing at Stand Eleven in Leeds Bus Station and the German Market bandstand for a very festive boogie!
