Kirkstall Art Trail 2024

Kirkstall Art Trail is a free event that takes place on Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 July 2024 between 11am-5pm, with venues across Kirkstall hosting artists and workshops (some workshop facilators might charge to cover their costs).

There will be a wide variety of art to engage with, along with a fashion show featuring upcycled outfits,a poetry trail, and photography competition.  

Tuesday Night Live: Miles Pillinger Quintet

Jazz drummer MILES PILLINGER has combined his love of jazz and Brazilian music with his energetic but sensitive playing. A recent Leeds conservatoire graduate, Miles’ playing has deeply matured through living and playing in the musical hub of Leeds.

Miles is eager to share his original compositions, along with the compositions of his biggest inspirations, including, Hermeto Pascoal, Wayne Shorter and Joshua Redman, alongside his band of Leeds all-star musicians: Fergus Quill on bass, Nico Widdowson on piano, Olivia Cuttill on trumpet and James Absalom on saxophone.

This engaging session invites participants of all abilities on a cosmic journey, drawing inspiration from the stunning raw images of Saturn captured by NASA’s Cassini mission.
