For the first time since their 2001 formation, massively influential post-hardcore quintet Bear Vs Shark will make their way across the Atlantic Ocean for a tour of the United Kingdom in March 2025. These shows mark the first-ever overseas dates for the band — vocalist Marc Paffi, multi-instrumentalists John Gaviglio, Nick Jones and Derek Kiesgen, and drummers Ashley Horak and Brandon Moss — as well as their first dates outside of their home state of Michigan since 2018.
Hailing from Scotland, The Twilight Sad are a dynamic presence in the indie rock scene. Their debut album, "Fourteen Autumns & Fifteen Winters" (Fat Cat, 2007), established their distinctive sonic identity, effortlessly merging post-punk and shoegaze with haunting melodies and emotionally charged lyrics. Their second album, "Forget the Night Ahead" (Fat Cat, 2009), received acclaim for its brooding textures and introspective themes, solidifying their mastery of emotive storytelling.
As Joshua Radin describes how his music career began, an image comes to mind of a horse, galloping so fast, it’s almost a blur. Its rider, meanwhile, hangs on for dear life, not sure how he wound up there, but sure as hell not about to let go. At some point, though, he figures out how the reins work, and the horse steps into a smooth canter. But when that horse took off 15 years ago, Radin didn’t even know what the moment was, much less how to balance himself while trying to find his stride.
Transform, the international performance festival that happens in Leeds, is inviting 10-12 people from the Leeds City Region to be part of a focus group that will help them to shape the 2025 festival.
