Celebrate Summer Solstice and Midsummer with us at this month's zine late event. Make a magical folklore inspired zine, frolic around the zine library in a flower headdress and explore our specially curated midsummer inspired display.
The zine library late events happen on the last Wednesday of the month. Each month we have a workshop, self-led activities, and music, making it a great opportunity to meet new zine makers, get inspired by the library collections and learn new skills.

Readings by a different local published poet each month and this month we're delighted to welcome JAMES NASH.
James is a writer and poet. A long-term resident of Leeds and
Bridlington, his third collection of poems, Coma Songs was published in 2003 and reprinted in 2006
Be part of the studio audience for a pair of radio-theatre shows plus experience immersive sound-art installations about three kinds of "Home From Home" spaces in Leeds: urban gardens, teen creative spots, and buses.

This workshop is for young people aged 11 years and over, with the help of an adult who must stay for the duration of the workshop.
We all have those clothes we've fallen a bit out of love with or that we wish were more 'us.' In this workshop you'll learn how to add applique and hand embroidery to clothes that you already have to make them more you and reflect your personality more.
Please bring with you clothes that you would like to revamp.
Please note - ticket price is for 1 young person plus 1 adult. Any addtional children/adults must purchase another ticket.
This workshop is for children aged 5 years and over, with the help of an adult who must stay for the duration of the workshop.
Make your own floral picture to have Summer in your home all year round!
During this workshop you'll learn how to make your own flowers from fabric, adding details with simple hand embroidery before adding them to a piece of beautiful fabric to make a summer garden or vase of flowers.
When completed the artwork will be suitable for framing, hanging on the wall or making greetings cards and will make great gifts for loved ones.
