Rush Hour Jazz – Northern Star Organ Trio
Northern Star Organ Trio are a groovy Hammond trio playing 60s soul, jazz, funk, boogaloo, bossa nova and blues.
The trio - Bob Birch, Robert Bromhead and Bruce Renshaw - perform at festivals and events across the north. Each member is a talented performer with an impressive musical résumé – past bands include the spectacularly popular The New Mastersounds, gypsy jazz group Appel4, and Leeds barnstormers Meanwood Valley Stompers.
The band have already amassed a keen fanbase and aroused the interest of venues and jazz festivals across the UK.
Richard Hammond Quintet
Richard Hammond is a prominent British double and electric bassist, composer and educator, he has had a broad career playing in many types of ensemble. This has led to regularly performing, touring and recording with artists such as Gary Barlow, Josh Groban, Sister Sledge, Leo Sayer, Tony Hadley, Mica Paris, Omar, Alexander O’Neil, ’The Sessions Live’, JP Cooper, Imelda May, Jane McDonald (as Musical Director), Vincent Niclo, Tom McRae, The Halle Orchestra, Tony Christie, Joe Longhorne, The Liverpool Philamonic Orchestra, Peter Grant, PJ Proby, and many jazz and blues artists.
