Trailblazing Premiere and Blue Plaque unveiling

This is the story of three firefighters from Yorkshire, all women all wanting to make a difference, all ahead of their time, all facing challenges beyond fire. From 1939 - 2025.

Join us for a very special evening celebrating the history of our building. To start the evening there will be a blue plaque unveiling. This blue plaque is commemorate the building from fire station to community hub. Followed by the premiere of our new show Trailblazings: Women have always been firefighters.

Stitch a Fabric Landscape with Jane

Fibre artist Jane will guide you through using a variety of fabrics to create a background design and adding detail using simple hand embroidery techniques. All materials will be provided but feel free to bring your own fabric scraps.

Whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced stitcher looking for inspiration you will take home a unique embroidered artwork and the confidence to keep stitching.Jane is passionate about embroidery and uses it on anything she can get a needle through! Join her in letting your creativity loose!

This ultimate variety show blends stylish cabaret, comedy, music, and burlesque into a spectacular extravaganza of glitz and glamour. Featuring dazzling showgirls, specialty cabaret artists, and stars of the stage and screen, this is a night of sophistication and stunning performances.

Exhibition Opening: FUAM 2025

Now in its 13th year, the FUAM exhibition showcases and celebrates the artistic talent of students completing BA studies in Art and Design and Fine Art at the University of Leeds in 2025. 

A panel of expert judges has selected four finalists for the prize. Join us to celebrate the work of these artists, and vote for your favourite in our People's Choice Award!

Life Drawing with Rob Oldfield

Join us in our monthly life drawing class with Gallery favourite, experienced artist and tutor, Rob Oldfield.

This workshop is open to everyone, from newcomers who want to take up a hobby through to experienced artists looking to hone their sketching skills.

Materials including various papers, pencils, charcoal and drawing boards will be supplied, but please feel free to bring your own too.

Ryosuke Kiyasu

Ryosuke Kiyasu is returning to Leeds for a special full kit show at Eiger Studios, with support from Kawaiiyasu and Andi Jackson.

RYOSUKE KIYASU has been active as a snare drum soloist since 2003, and is also known as the drummer for SETE STAR SEPT, Kiyasu Orchestra, and Keiji Haino's band Fushitsusha. He is also known as a founding member of The Endless Blockade in Canada.

DogFest

DogFest is the UK's favourite dog-friendly festival and we're heading to Harewood House on September 13th and 14th. It’s a brilliant day out with fun for the whole family! 

Artist Workshop: Clay Sculptures with Amelia Frances Wood

Join us for a fun, hands on workshop with artist Amelia Frances Wood. We’ll use clay to create abstract sculptures inspired by our current exhibition, Fragment and Form.

We’ll begin with a tour of the exhibition to get some inspiration, then head to our new Studio to learn clay modelling techniques. Guiding us will be local artist and ceramics technician Amelia, who will help you to create your own clay sculptures.

This workshop is designed for families with children aged 6+. We encourage creativity in all ages, so adults are encouraged to make too!
