Kirkstall Neighbours - Collaborative Sculpture Workshop

Welcome to the Kirkstall Neighbours - Collaborative sculpture workshop! Join us for a fun and creative hands-on experience.

Take part in a collaborative workshop to create a sculpture inspired by the River Aire. Working together, we will create an installation using recycled materials and experimental techniques. The installation will explore the river’s flow and our interdependence with water. The final piece will be on display during the art trail.

No experience necessary, just bring your enthusiasm and willingness to get your hands dirty!

The Wheel of Life with Gen-la Kelsang Dekyong

The famous diagram of the Wheel of Life was designed by Buddha himself 2600 years ago, as a gift for a king’s friend who had everything except the wisdom to find true inner peace.

It depicts the cycle of contaminated life: the chain of cause and effect that keeps us bound to life after life of suffering. By deeply contemplating its meaning we will understand the real causes of happiness and suffering and how, by practising the spiritual path, we can enter the path to liberation and destroy the cycle of suffering once and for all.

Everyone is welcome!
