Mik Artistik’s Ego Trip
Mik Artistik is a poet, performer, artist and comedian. With his compadre Jonny Flockton on guitar, and a selection of well heeled bass players, they hypnotise audiences with their special brand of joyous madness. Delightful, frightening, strange and hysterically funny, Mik throws shapes and straws, and croons like a dream - sometimes. Jonny holds him in check with forceful, elegant and sublime guitar work. Iggy Pop proclaimed their song 'Sweet Leaf of the North' ‘the song of the decade’ on NPR, and often features the band regularly on his 6Music Show 'Iggy Confidential'.

Stained Glass Saturday Workshop with Sam Yates
Mixed ability stained-glass workshop. This workshop is suitable for both beginners and those with some experience.
Your incredibly talented tutor, Samantha Yates, will tailor the sessions to your experience level so you'll really get the most from this fabulous workshop.
During the session, you will learn how to use glass tools to cut and shape glass, understand the difference between copper foil and leaded technique and be able to produce a simple design which you will take home with you!!
Pottery Taster Session - Hand-building and Throwing on the Wheel
Join us at Swarthmore and spend some time with professional ceramicist Jeannie Waterhouse for our Pottery Taster session!
Whether you want to try a new skill or create a masterpiece this three-hour taster class will give you a chance to experience what it is like to work with clay. You will learn how to create hand built pieces using coiling techniques, and decorate your work with coloured slip and glazes.

Chapletown Community Djembe Drum Circle - Would like you to bring your Percussion instruments, outdoor seating, suitable outdoor clothing, drink flasks with your herbal teas and some fire wood to support de occassion. All Abilities welcome! It's a Jam!!!!

Chapel Allerton Arts Festival 2025
The Chapel Allerton Arts Festival runs between Friday 29th August until 6pm on Sunday 31st August in Chapel Allerton with build up and fringe events happening in the week before, finishing with the main events in Regent Street at the weekend. The festival has been running now for 26 years, is completely run by volunteers and is one of the highlights of Leeds arts calendar
