Darts, who had a string of chart hits in the late 70s and early 80s including Daddy Cool/The Girl Can’t Help It, Come Back My Love, Boy From New York City, It’s Raining and Duke of Earl are a nine-strong, energetic doo-wop group whose brand of visual excitement and tight harmonies earn them rave reviews wherever they play. Their unique style, which combines first-rate musicianship and intricate vocal acrobatics, creates a larger-than-life stage show where the humour they inject into their live performance plays a large part in their appeal.
Our Monthly Community Market is held each 4th Saturday, with a break in August, and our December event is on 3rd Saturday.
A mix of Local Produce and Craft Traders Inside and Outside. An avg. of 25 stalls and tables plus regular attractions and a Market Cafe.

Opera North will release 23 short films this December, documenting songs performed by participants in the Leeds-based company’s Community Partnerships Scheme, the culmination of a four-year People’s Lullabies project.
On 21 December 2023 at Howard Assembly Room, Baluji Shrivastav OBE will be joined by Linda Shanson on vocals, Takashi Kikuchi on viola, and Yousuf Ali Khan on tabla and percussion for Winter Solstice: From Within, presented by South Asian Arts UK (SAA-uk) in collaboration with Opera North, part of The Spotlight Project 2023.
