A Room in Leeds exhibition, at Leeds City Museum, showcases the artworks of 4 groups and individuals from across Leeds who took part in Skippko Art Teams project 'A Room in Leeds' during 2023/24.
Everyone involved in the project started with the same idea - to look at objects that mean something to the individual. From a giant teapot to photographs of objects in unfamiliar settings, the exhibition is testament to the hard work of those involved.

This new commission, funded by PRS Foundation Talent Development Network (TDN), supported by PPL and Arts Council of England, brings together a diverse group of artists—including musicians, poets, and sound and lighting designers—led by the creative force, composer, and music director Christella Litras.
Our aim is to celebrate John Smeaton, a Leeds-born pioneer of Civil Engineering and his intention to create work for the public good.
Leeds Open Studios brings together artists and organisations from across the city, not just the city centre. Discover the vast amount of creative talent Leeds has to offer and wander around venues usually closed to the public.
A wonderful opportunity to experience what Leeds has to offer in terms of small and/or independent arts studios. As well as exhibitions of what various creatives of Leeds and surrounding areas have been making.
Meet artists, explore their studio spaces, purchase one of a kind piece, discover new skills and immerse yourself in a day of culture.
In 2021, MAKK, Yorkshire based singer-songwriter David McEvoy, met producer and co-writer Jacob Clarke at Evoke Studio in Leeds. Over the last two years, the duo has cultivated a distinctive Indie Dream Folk sound, characterised by lo-fi and experimental production, ethereal and dreamy atmospheres, and Makk’s moody vocals paired with introspective lyrics. Their ambient and mellow sound, with a cinematic feel, draws influences from artists such as Bon Iver, The Tallest Man on Earth, Billie Martin, Wyldest, Flyte, and This is The Kit.
