Story and Rhyme Green Libraries Week Special

Celebrate nature with stories and song!

Join us at this Story and Rhyme special where we will be celebrating our love of nature and introducing little ones to the idea of caring for the world around them.

There will also be plenty of age-appropriate books on themes relating to looking after our planet for families to borrow.

This is a free drop in event for children under 5 and their families.

Green Libraries Week Story and Rhyme Specials are taking place at the following times and locations:

Hodgson Family Halloween Lights

Come and see a house turned into an interactive light spectacular, with interactive buttons, synchronised singing faces and, of course, bubbles!

With over 25,000 lights, 2 LED screens and 15 interactive elements, this  adventure is sure to have something you'll enjoy.

Our experience is a spooky not scary experience so you won't find any frights and for those who would prefer it, we run regular sensory sessions.

It's all completely free, but we do accept donations for our chosen charity partner Martin House Children's Hospice.

‘Where there are violins there is hope’ - The Red Violin Festival Leeds

The Red Violin festival takes place in Leeds 14-19 October, celebrating the violin in different guises throughout
the city.  It was founded by violinist extraordinaire Madeleine Mitchell who has performed in no less than 50 countries. The idea to stage it in Leeds came from the former Chairman of Opera North who heard Madeleine play in Leeds five years ago and said "let’s do the festival here".
