Join our printing expert for a 90-minute workshop during which you'll create a lino-cut artwork inspired by the wonderful collection of prints in the archive. Enjoy refreshments and delicious M&S cake!

Choose from the morning session from 10:30am-12pm, or the afternoon session from 1:30-3pm.

Tickets cost £5, proceeds from ticket sales will go to Leeds Baby Bank.

This event is open to people aged 14 and over. Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.

Booking is essential.

Garforth Nature Journal Club

'Garforth Nature Journal Club' is held once per month in the Community Garden at the Lord Gascoigne pub.

Open to anyone in the Garforth and local area.

Learn how to keep a nature journal, using words, pictures and numbers. A way to document your connection to nature where you live.  Materials are provided, no experience or knowledge necessary. We are a welcoming, non judgemental group sharing our joy of being in nature.

Mindful Calligraphy Workshop with Sophie Eloise Calligraphy

Come along to learn a new creative skill and practice the art of mindful calligraphy with Sophie of Sophie Eloise Calligraphy. 

Using a traditional nib and ink technique, you will learn stroke techniques and letter formation and have a go at crafting your name, before moving on to create your very own affirmation cards to take home. 

All of Sophie’s workshops are suitable for beginners and we welcome people coming by themselves! 

Art Club @stocked. - Recreating David Hockney with Mireille Botros

Come join us at stocked. for a relaxed, guided, creative evening with local artist Mireille Botros, as we recreate a David Hockney painting using acrylic paints.

All materials are provided, and your ticket includes a complimentary drink and baked treat from Slow Rise Bakery, although you’re welcome to bring your own bottle as well for your very own sip and paint experience.

Make Your Own Festive Handmade Notebooks with Abbie Mooney

In this festive bookbinding workshop, you will create your very own selection of books using traditional techniques, perfect for gifting to loved ones as notebooks or mini photo-albums. You will be guided step-by-step through pamphlet stitch and hard-bound covers, with plenty of time to develop your skills and knowledge in a small group.

This workshop is perfect for beginners and you will leave the workshop with helpful guides to make your own books at home.

Please note - this workshop is suitable for beginners but they must be 18+

There is Not a Fashion

HPAC is delighted to present, There is Not a Fashion, an exhibition which celebrates a selection of exciting new works by recent graduates from across the Fine Art courses in the city.

These works focus on individual contemporary approaches to image making, through experimentation and material transformation which are explored widely in various mediums.

Festive Wreath Making with Anita from BlumenKind

Leeds based florist, Anita from BlumenKind, will provide expert step by step guidance on how to create a stunning winter wreath which will be the envy of your neighbors!

This workshop is perfect for beginners and those with a some experinece of floristry!

Once you’ve made your base using a variety of seasonal foliage, you will be able to choose your own colour scheme, ribbons and decorations to adorn your wreath.

All materials are included and at the end of the session you will have your very own wreath to take home!!

Introduction to Collagraph Printing with Abbie Mooney

Your tutor, Abbie Mooney, will guide you through the process of layering textures and marks to create unique printing plates that will then be inked up and rolled through our traditional roller press to create a range of original prints.

This workshop is perfect for beginners or those who have tried other printmaking processes before as Abbie will equip you with the skills to combine new and familiar techniques to make artwork that is personal to you.
