Sela's spooktacular Halloween Quiz is back on Thursday 31st October followed by a spooky disco!

Test your knowledge of all things spine-chilling with our very special Halloween Quiz hosted by our quizmaster Evil Emily Cullen (as seen on ITV's The Chase & BBC's The Finish Line)

It's £3 per person to play with all quiz money going to P.A.F.R.A.S. Rounds will include terrifying trivia about scary movies, books, telly, mortifying musical chairs, local horrifying history & a special bonus blood-curdling bingo round.

Jailey Field Play Park Grand Opening

New Wortley Community Centre and its Youth Board have been working in partnership with Leeds City Council, New Wortley Residents group and Active Leeds to secure new play equipment on the fabulous Jailey Field for children, young people and families to use!

COME ALONG IN FANCY DRESS! Come and visit the new Play space for children and families on Jailey field for a fun-filled afternoon including:

Halloween treasure Hunt - come along in fancy dress (prizes for best outfit!)

Play on new play equipment

Reclaiming Rhythm "Voices from the past, melodies of the future"

Event Overview: "Reclaiming Rhythm" is a vibrant black music event that celebrates the rich history and transformative power of black music, connecting past influences to future possibilities

Free event for the community, all are welcome including children

Panel Discussion: Discussions will focus on the evolution of black music, its cultural significance, and its impact on contemporary art forms

Mini Art Exhibition: Featuring 2024 images from the Black Music Festival that highlight visual artistry in connection with music.

Spectre Spotting and Spooky Crafts

Join Canal Connections for a fun-filled day of spectre spotting and spooky crafts.

Get creative making ghostly visions, adding to our haunted house plasti-scene and finding the ghosts lurking along the River Aire on our special spectre spotting trail.

All land-based activities are free of charge.

Crafts suitable for children and adults aged 4 and over. 

Weather and canal conditions permitting, there will be a ghost-spotting boat trip lasting 45 minutes. The fare for this is £5 per person including children.

Art Doctors: Creative Sessions for Grown-Ups

The Art Doctors are here to help you explore how to get started on something creative, find inspiration in the everyday, and have a bit of a giggle. We'll be collaging, doodling, writing, folding, making sculptures… there's something here for everyone!

Come and join us for an hour of playful, sociable creativity in the Library, using our Art Doctors prompts and activities in a relaxed and friendly environment.
