For nearly two decades, Eric Chenaux has been gently twisting songs into new shapes. Pairing what has been described by the Guardian as “one of the all-time great singing voices in popular music” with sparse, metronomic rhythms, the Canadian artist is capable of conjuring up songs that feel as familiar and well-trodden as standards. It’s through his spontaneous guitar playing and lightly abrasive pedal improvisation that they change, stretched into something stranger.
Dance On is a fantastic opportunity for over 55s to try something new, get active and meet new people.
Dance On Chapeltown is a weekly hour long dance taking place at Holy Rosary Church, Chapeltown Rd, LS7 4BZ.
This session is led by dance artist Bakani Pick-Up and is run in partnership with Feel Good Factor (starts 3rd March 2025).
Whether you’ve always danced, or you’re wanting to try something new, everyone is welcome. This session is free.
