Paper, Collage and Stitch Textile Workshop with Hayley Mills-Styles

In this day class you will learn how to create a mixed media piece of textile art using paper, collage and unusual materials to create your own embellishments. Hayley will guide you through creating a textured paper collage ready to embellish with hand and machine embroidery as well as unusual materials like plastic and metal. You will learn how to combine these non-traditional materials to make your piece as well as using hand and machine embroidery to enhance your design.

Drawing with Thread - Hand Embroidery and Applique Workshop with Hayley Mills-Styles

In this day class you will learn how to create a design from a photograph (of a landscape, or portrait) and bring it to life using fabric and thread. Hayley will guide you through the basics of tracing a design, and transferring this onto to fabric ready to stitch using a variety of threads with some raw edge applique to add colour and texture.

You will also learn some simple hand embroidery stitches that create your embroidered picture including stem stitch, French knots and satin stitch.

Hip Hop & RnB

Whether new to dance or a seasoned pro, there’s a spot for everyone to find their groove and elevate their skills. Join us weekly to unleash your inner beast and get moving.

What to Wear
Clothing and footwear you feel comfortable moving in. A water cooler is available to refill your water bottle.
