Digital Detox Day I March

Join us for another day relaxing without digital! You are invited to read with us, we have just celebrated World Book Day after all... come along and take your next read from our Little Reading Library or check out our growing Pluto Press collection. Got books to share? Why not bring along some great reads to donate too!

Our cafe will be open for drinks, snacks and a PAYF lunch and there will be plenty of art materials, board games and table tennis out too.

Ollie Dixon

Alternative folk artist Ollie Dixon will be performing live at The Hyde Park Book Club with support from Chump and Anneka Shelley

From regularly performing live across the South and South West including headlining for Sofar Sounds and playing a number of the U.K. festivals (inc. Boardmasters, Between The Trees & Oceanfest), Ollie is embarking on a U.K. wide tour in 2025 performing songs from his brand new EP.

This will be Ollie’s first performance for Leeds where he has chosen to play an intimate show at the Hyde Park Book Club.

Matt Richardson - Brash

Being loud, brazen and a little bit lairy was all Matt needed to propel himself onto the comedy circuit aged 18 and be presenting national telly by 22. But faster than you can say ‘Celebrity Coach Trip’ he suddenly finds himself in his 30s, so what’s next for the lad?

Matt has moved to the countryside, settled down, and is trying his hardest to not make rude jokes. It’s not going as well as he’d hoped…

Hayley Ellis: Silly Mare

Like all women who literally just celebrated their 35th birthday… five years ago, Hayley Ellis is obsessed with true crime.

Sure, it's not the most feminist of passions - but since when do we ever do what’s best for ourselves, however old we get?

Join Hayley as she navigates middle age - and as everyone agrees, the middle of anything is always the most delicious part (excluding Donuts, Avocados or plane seats), the joys of remaining (mostly) happily unmarried and the truly horrific journey of later-in-life contraception Something for everyone.

Chris Kent: Offline

Cork’s own Chris Kent returns with a brand-new show ‘Offline’.

He tries to give up the internet and navigate life without asking his phone what to eat, where to go or how to get home. He longs for a simpler time of playing ‘Snake’ and constructing emojis himself. Now that he has hit 40 years of age, he wonders if he can ever go back to thinking for himself.

Join him on a journey that will either make him or break him.

“Kent is a master storyteller” **** - The Irish Times

***** - The Mirror

“Carefree comedic bullseye” - Dubliner Magazine

Tom Lawrinson - Buried Alive (And Loving It)

Part Of Leeds Comedy Festival 2025

Tom Lawrinson - Buried Alive (And Loving It)

Everything is awful but that’s okay, argues Tom in his ridiculously entertaining show about family and growing up in a Spanish subterranean cave. A show for siblings who shared a rubbish childhood, shirtless ex-pats, and comedy fans alike.

"He has an eye for the mundanely absurd which is truly unique, with an execution that is joyfully daft." - Rolling Stone (Top 12 shows of the Edinburgh Fringe)

“Immediately dragging us under with his menacing charm” ★★★★★ Ed Fringe Review

Horatio Gould: Return Of The Space Cowboy

Following his sell-out debut show, viral sensation Horatio Gould brings his much-anticipated sophomore show, Return of the Space Cowboy, on the road.

At the age of 27, Horatio is tribal elder of Gen Z. Existing on the cusp of two age groups and desperate for something meaningful to believe in, Horatio explores the crisis facing young people seeking purpose in life that isn't fat jeans or rock-climbing

As seen on ‘Comedy Central LIVE’, tour support for Frankie Boyle, co-creator of ‘Fin vs The Internet’ (70 million views on Instagram 2 million on YouTube).

Abi Clarke: Role Model

Abi Clarke lived the modern-day dream; she posted a video online, went to bed a ‘nobody’, then woke up to thousands of followers.

Four years later – and after a sold-out run at the Edinburgh Fringe – this is the debut show they’ve been waiting for, though it may not be exactly what they want from her…

As seen on BBC, ITV2, Comedy Central, Channel 4 and support to Phil Wang and Russell Kane. With 2M followers across platforms, she’s taken the internet by storm, but now it’s time to see what she does best; stand-up!
