Halloween SFX Workshop

Join us this October half term for a special one-off spooky themed holiday workshop for 8 - 11 year olds.

This October Half Term, we’re diving into the world of spooky special effects—just in time for Halloween! Inspired by some of our favourite fright-filled films, this hands-on workshop explores how filmmakers create their most gruesome and ghoulish effects. From blood and guts to ooze and slime, you’ll get to see (and try!) the tricks behind the scares.

Introduction to Woodwork: Hand Tools Level 2

A one day course developing the skills you have learned from our 'Introduction to Woodwork - Hand Tools 1' course, as well as expanding tool knowledge and skills.

Duration

5 hours with a 30 minute lunch break. 10am - 3pm. Tea and coffee breaks are optional. Lunch is not provided so please bring lunch with you, there are places nearby to grab some lunch if needed. Please this course is designed for people over 18 years old. We now run Young Makers courses for under 18's full listings can be found on Eventbrite.

Introduction to DIY - Using wall fixings How to put up a shelf and more!

This course is the beginners guide to putting things like shelves on walls. You will learn to identify different kinds of walls and learn how to use the correct fixtures on them. This will include learning about hammer drills, masonry bits, rawl plugs and plasterboard fixtures. There will also be a discussion about avoiding cables and pipes. The course will end with using a spirit level to fit a shelf.
