Up-cycling your Wardrobe with Alison Teece UK

In this fun workshop you will explore how to creativly up-cycle your pre-loved garmets and give them a brand new life.

You may want to customise a jacket, dress jeans by adding contrasting fabrics or adding embellishments, applique, frills or bands.

Alternatively, your tutor Alison, will give demos throughout the session where you will learn a variety of sewing and cutting techniques, to build on your existing sewing skills.

Get creative in this fun workshop where you be offered lots of inspirations to re-vamp your clothes.

Unearthed: The Power of Gardening  - Dried Flower Embroidery and traditional embroidery  techniques with Elnaz Yazdani

The workshop will explore hand embroidery techniques such as couching and goldwork, combined with dried and pressed flowers from my community gardens to make embellishments. The work explores the meditative processes of both hand stitch and gardening combined.

Please arrive early to visit the exhibition.

Threads of Freedom: Storytelling with Fabric and Thread with Hayley Mills-Styles and Elnaz Yazdani

Learn how to use fabric and thread to tell stories in our drop-in textile workshops. The project artists will expertly guide you to create embroidered, patchworked and embellished pieces of textile art as part of the Threads of Freedom project. You don’t need any experience to join in as they will guide you through designing and creating your piece inspired by the history of Leeds and the Leodis photographic archives.

Bud Vase Painting - Esk Haus Creative Club

Come along to Terminus Tap Room and Bottle Shop, for July's edition of Creative Club run by local artist Amy (Studio Esk Haus). Get creative and paint an upcycled bud vase. This month we'll be taking inspiration from patterns in nature, using brushes, sponges and other pattern making techniques, while enjoying a fun and relaxing atmosphere.
