Leeds' Queer History Tour

QUEER HISTORY TOURS ARE BACK!

Join Hold It Up Collective or Kit Heyam for a jaunt round Leeds visiting queer history landmarks. You'll hear about the first ever national trans conference, the vibrant queer clubbing scene in the 90s and lots of tales of activism, politics, arrests and cottaging.

Be inspired by your local queer history!

The walks are wheelchair accessible.

Store Tours: Go Behind the Scenes with our Collections Team

Did you know that only 4% of our collections are on display at any given time? Our stores, library and archive are teeming with objects, books and papers with their own fascinating stories, many of which are rarely if ever visible to the public. With our new programme of store tours, we’re offering the chance to see how different collections are stored, get up close with some of our favourite objects, and learn more about the joys and challenges of maintaining such a vast and unique collection.

Constellation Trail

Pick up a constellation trail and go on a museum stargazing adventure. Join this fun family activity finding and spotting stars through the museum. Tue – Sun in the Easter holidays, during opening hours. Free, drop in. Please note, the museum is closed on Mondays except bank holiday Monday.

Why not have a go at Cosmic Crafts on 3 – 4 Apr or check out our Planetarium Shows on 2 Apr while you’re here?

This event is part of our Easter space programme and the Leodis Space Agency from Leeds BID.
