Leeds Heritage Pub and History Walk

Starting in the shadow of the Black Prince, in City Square, this three-hour tour is run by It's The Beer Talking, a new business established by beer writer Simon Jenkins and event organiser and former Tetley's PR officer Nicky Massen.

You’ll learn how our city is still shaped by its 13th century geography, how it was the scene of audacious industrial espionage, the key role it played in the birth of a global entertainment industry – and about an extraordinary human auction, where people were sold to the highest bidder, a little over a century ago.

Pyramid Open Studios Tour

Tour Pyramid's accessible art studio for artists with learning disabilities and/or autism during Creativity and Wellbeing Week.

This one-hour tour is a chance to see Pyramid's studio facilities, meet our Creative Programme Coordinator to learn more about our open studio project, Finding the Flex, and meet some of the artists we support who will be working in the studio. There will also be a pop-up library for a chance to look through our archive and learn about past projects Pyramid has been a part of.

Sound Walk Zine Making Workshop

Join us for a unique creative experience blending sound, mindfulness, and art!

Guided by conceptual artist Delilah Sykes, this workshop invites you to explore the world around you through deep listening and creative expression. We’ll kick things off with a group sound walk through Burley Park and the surrounding area, where the group will capture the ambient sounds of the environment using recording equipment. It's all about following your ears, tuning into your surroundings, and embracing the power of mindful listening.

Bat Walk at Temple Newsam

Meet in the courtyard for tea and biscuits. There is a 1/2 hr natural history slide talk followed by a quiz and some videos.

After an introduction to the use of Bat detectors there is a guided walk approximately two miles in length.

The route is reasonably accessible mostly on tarmac paths. A variety of roosting and feeding habitats are covered.

In the past about five species of bat have been encountered engaged in a variety of natural behaviour.
