Tractor Keith's Pumpkin Trail

Join us at Kirkstall Valley Farm to follow Tractor Keith's Pumpkin Trail meeting lots of engaging characters on your way. You might even see Tractor Keith!

Make your way to the pumpkin field and pick your perfect pumpkin before taking it to the barn to carve.

Lots of games and activities to enjoy whilst you're there.

Petrifying Poisons

Poisons: the perfect remedy or a recipe for disaster?

This October half-term, we’re brewing up a wickedly fun programme all about the perils – and the perks – of poisons!

In Victorian Leeds, poison was commonplace – Arsenic was found in beer, Strychnine treated funny tummies and Cyanide was in the wallpaper!

Today, there are more than 100 toxic plants growing in the UK alone. So, which fatal flora could be lurking in your garden?

Spooky Moo Boo Halloween Specials

Mixed age.

Our Halloween special is suitable for all ages 0 - 6 years but more suited to those from sitting onwards. We'll have a Moo Spooky time together. A small craft is included too.

One full paying child admits one adult. A sibling ticket can be purchased but does not admit an additional adult. If more than one adult would like to attend then they are able to observe the session from the café area.

Dressing up not essential but encouraged.

Debutots Sunday Family Story Play - The Micetronauts

World Space Week is 4 - 10th October and we’re going to continue the space theme for a few more days into our next Sunday Family Story Play!

When the mice of Moseley Hall run out of cheese, it's up to the 3 strongest mice to zoom to the moon in search of cheese before it's too late...

Will Scurry, Tumble and Squish make it to the moon and will they be able to collect some cheese to feed the rest of the mice??

Family Storyplay Sessions suitable for ages 1-5. A perfect multi-sensory introduction to the world of storytelling. Sibling discounts available.

Debutots Halloween Story Special with Bunny Bear Making

A family Halloween story event with all the smiles and no scares!

An interactive storytelling session from Debutots where we meet Rory the Rabbit on his first ever Halloween. Rory wants to make the "Biggest Bestest Halloween Pumpkin" - but things don’t quite go to plan!

This is a 90 minute class, with the first part of the session including singing, dancing, meeting puppets and popping bubbles as we embark on our Debutots original Halloween story adventure.

Hodgson Family Halloween Lights

Come and see a house turned into an interactive light spectacular, with interactive buttons, synchronised singing faces and, of course, bubbles!

With over 25,000 lights, 2 LED screens and 15 interactive elements, this  adventure is sure to have something you'll enjoy.

Our experience is a spooky not scary experience so you won't find any frights and for those who would prefer it, we run regular sensory sessions.

It's all completely free, but we do accept donations for our chosen charity partner Martin House Children's Hospice.

Spooky Storytelling

For those that like a little scare, and a little gore and a little Halloween spookiness we have a very special session this half term.

The highlight will be spooky storytelling around the campfire with the wonderful Stories with Liv. Liv is an amazing story teller and will tell a dynamic and interactive story to put us all in the spooky mood!

As well as the story telling session there will be lots of spooky Halloween themed play and crafts around the garden and you can toast a marshmallow on the fire.

Pumpkin House Workshop

As an alternative to spooky Jack’o’lanterns why not create a cute pumpkin fairy house. With twiggy windows, sycamore seed curtains, a little bark door and acorn cap door bell. Let your imagination run wild to create a unique pumpkin scene that can be used as halloween decoration and played with through the season.

You can also create a gnome or fairy family to live inside your pumpkin using Forest School techniques depending on age and interest.

Of course there will be lots of seasonal play around the garden aimed at little ones.

Magical Autumn

Autumn is a magical time of year to play outside! We’ll be celebrating the changing seasons with lots of autumnal crafts, play and activities. We’ll finish the session with a little campfire and a marshmallow and hot chocolate treat.

This session is deliberately Halloween free for anyone that’s avoiding spooks this season.
