Discovering the Warriors: the stories behind the yoga poses

Discover the dramatic story of Virabhadra, the fiercest of warriors who is said to have inspired Virabhadrasana, the warrior poses.

These are arguably among the most visited poses in a standing practice, but rarely do we have the time to uncover their meaning and the lessons we can learn through practicing them.

In this workshop, we’ll spend time learning the story of Siva, Sati and Virabhadra, and how they inspire Virabhadrasana 1, 2 and 3.

Amy uses sound healing including gong, crystal bowls and other instruments for the sound bath. Creating a relaxing atmosphere the sound and vibrations wash over you whilst you bathe in sound.

This will be a day in 3 parts - come to the whole day, or drop in at the time that suits you. Admission is pay-what-you-can (so, literally, if you’re skint you can come for nothing; if money’s not a problem for you right now, then please be generous).

Winter Solstice Wellbeing Ceremony (Yule)

Seasonal Ceremonies with Lourdes Orozco are an opportunity to connect with nature's cycles. When we connect our inner world to the outer world, we gain access to our inner wisdom, peace and truth and in turn receive clarity and certainty at times when we might feel lost and disconnected. In Seasonal Ceremonies, Lourdes will create a space to enable, facilitate and grow our listening, feeling and sensing the cyclical messages offered by nature as an invitation to connect to the wisdom within ourselves.

Singing Bowl Sound Bath

We open the practice by grounding and feeling into our bodies. A gentle heart coherence breathing practice will help us to drop out of the head and connect as a group. Lying down in a supported Savasana you will be taken on a journey of sound with Himalayan and Crystal Singing bowls. 

We will take time at the end to ground ourselves again before leaving.

Laughter Yoga Workshop

Laughter and play are powerful well-being activities for the body and mind.
In this workshop I will take you on an exploration of laughter where you will discover ways to play with it, embrace it and see what is there when you open yourself up to being more playful. It's a wonderful invitation to cultivate your own innate sense of joy.

Laughter changes our body chemistry and mindset. It’s energising yet relaxing and a wonderful way to relieve stress, release stuck emotions and bring clarity to the mind.

Reiki Infused Meditation Workshop

This is a longer version of our weekly class - Reiki Infused Meditation. Enter a deep space of relaxation with our new Reiki Infused Meditation- Weekend Edition class with Lourdes. In this extended class, you will explore and learn further about the patterns that take you away from the inner peace and calm that are your true essence. As you are invited to connect deeply with yourself in a space infused with reiki and meditation, you will experience what  your inner health and wellbeing feels like, so you can be in this state as you go about your daily life.
