Spoken Word at Thackray Lates: My Bloody Valentine

We’re bringing poetry and spoken word to the Thackray Museum of Medicine as part of their Thackray Lates programme on Thursday 13 February.

For one night only, the museum will be pumping with a programme filled with the red stuff (and we don’t mean roses). Join us for an anti-valentine evening like no other, one that embraces the visceral life force of all beating hearts: blood!

Susan is a Leeds-based poet. Her work regularly explores the female experience through nature-based symbolism and stories of transformation and has been published in Northern Gravy, Pennine Platform, Dreich, Dream Catcher, Anti-Heroin Chic, Hedgehog Press and Ethel Zine among others.

His fanatical following of little and not-so-little fans has grown immeasurably over the last couple of years due to the phenomenal success of the CBeebies show Nick Cope’s Popcast, now in its third series.

British Youth Music Theatre (BYMT) is the leading musical theatre company for young people aged 11-21. Every year, we run numerous two-week residential courses during the Easter or Summer holidays, where young people work with West End writers and directors to create a brand new musical that will be performed in a professional theatre at the end of the project.
