A unique fundraising event  supporting Al-Harah Theatre in Bethlehem - Palestine, through the powerful medium of dance, singing and music

Al-Harah theatre was established in 2005 to create safe spaces for children, women and people with disabilities in the West Bank as well as supporting artists in Gaza. They urgently need support to continue their transformative work for the community, helping children cope with the psychological traumas of the war.

LIVEwire Showcase - Polarbear and Testament

Steven Camden, aka Polarbear, is an acclaimed spoken word artist, YA novelist, playwright, and screenwriter. Testament is a spoken word artist, rapper, theatre-maker, and world record-breaking human beatboxer! Alongside our feature acts will be school pupils from around Leeds who've participated in poetry workshops as part of our festival programme. Part of Leeds Storytelling Festival 2025.

Chinese New Year

Chemistry 17: Ian Parks, Rachel Davies and Hilary Robinson, and Cl for Chlorine

It’s 2025, and Chemistry kicks off another year of poetry and spoken word on Friday 31 January! Instead of our usual two wonderful headliners, we’ll be having three, as welcome South Yorkshire legend Ian Parks, and our first ever double act, the self-described “poetry twins” Rachel Davies and Hilary Robinson. Plus, of course, our amazing open mic!

Round The Horne

Classic comedy fans will be in their element as Apollo Theatre Company brings the classic radio comedy show, Round The Horne to life in this exciting production.

This production transports the audience back to the late 1960s and the anarchic, boisterous atmosphere of the BBC’s Paris Theatre during the recordings of the programme that defined the genre for decades to come, complete with a live band and live sound effects.

The Dreamtime Fellrunner

The Dreamtime Fellrunner is for anyone yearning for connection to the great outdoors, seeking to nourish both body and mind.

Escape to the Lakeland fells in this fun, poetic and moving exploration of the land around us, and how we inhabit it. From the comfort of your seat, join Julie as she bounds through the awe-inspiring landscape of the hills, on a track carved through feminism, land rights, history and literature – and all sorts in between.

∞ {Infinite} Unplugged is Julia Robert and Rudi Cole's visionary dance meditation where raw and dynamic choreography will take you on a mystical journey of movement and consciousness.

Founded in 2016 by Catalan and Birmingham born artists Julia Robert and Rudi Cole, HUMANHOOD's following has since grown rapidly in the UK and international dance scene.

Poetry for Parents: Hollie McNish

These relaxed events are for parents with babies (pre-walkers). With grown-up poems about new parenthood (as well as life outside of that bubble), it's an opportunity to unwind and escape through the power of words. Hollie McNish is an award-winning poet and Sunday Times bestselling author.
