This relaxed and informative event aims to inform, support and connect those affected by lymphoma. Medical professionals will deliver talks on ‘the relationship between the immune system and lymphoma’ and ‘managing cancer related fatigue through daily activity’. A volunteer will share their personal experience of lymphoma, and you’ll have plenty of time throughout the day to ask questions, share your own experiences and find out more about the services and support Lymphoma Action have available.

Local swimmers, scientists and a mermaid join forces in a community’s battle to fight to protect the River Avon, the Bristol way.
Do humans have the right to nature? In this tender film, Director Charlotte Sawyer tells a story of a community of wild swimmers in Bristol (UK) affected by raw sewage pollution of the river Avon. England is one of the only two countries in the world to have a fully privatised water and sewage disposal system, and with only 14% of English rivers in good ecological health, the mission to keep the rivers clean is not going well.
The Tom Sharp Jazz Orchestra are a brilliant 20-piece line up performing classic Big Band Jazz from the 20th Century, as well as arrangements from members of the band. They release their debut album of the same name, supported by Leeds Conservatoire's Big Band, and celebrate with us at The Attic on Sunday 27th April.
A one-man theatre show based on the life of gay Titanic survivor, Edward Dorking playing at Slung Low Theatre in Leeds.
Edward was gay. Openly gay, and on Wednesday, April 10th, 1912, he set sail for NYC on a ticket bought for him by his parents in the hope his American family could put him ‘right’.
Third Class charts Edward’s journey from boarding the Titanic to swimming for 30 minutes towards an already full collapsible lifeboat and how he, upon arriving in New York, would tour the Vaudeville circuit, recreating the stories for a fact-hungry public.
The Creative Meet Up is back at The Attic In Leeds on 23rd April.
After the great turn out from the last event we had back in January we decided to bring the next event in Leeds forward.
Doors open at 6pm and the discussion panel will start around 7:30pm
