Battles return this autumn with their fourth album Juice B Crypts on Warp Records to follow their complex, mind-bending predecessors Mirrored, Gloss Drop, Dross Glop and La Di Da Di. Their latest album is a sensory overload of information that throws everything you thought you knew about Battles into flux once again.
Will Anderson believes in true love—as both concept and catalyst, aspiration and inspiration. During his 34 years, the Hotline TNT founder and architect has found such love perhaps half-adozen times. Each instance has prompted some enormous swing of commitment, like a crosscountry move or simply being honest about his budding attraction. It is a hopeful and vulnerable way to exist, a way to ensure maximum bruising during the fall of the breakup.
The ‘Stars in their Eyes’ winner recreates the finest soul singer of the 80’s and 90’s; his tribute to the great Luther Vandross repertoire includes all his hits such as, ‘Never Too Much’ ‘Dance With My Father’ and ‘A House Is Not a Home’ as well as songs from Lionel Richie, the Four Tops and other soul and motown legends.

Uncover unique objects that were central to Smeaton’s journey and an accompanying exhibition by our Young Smeatonians group which poses challenging questions about the subject.
