Late Night Piano Bar

After Christmas with Danny Beard, join us in Kino for a glass of wine and some late night cabaret. Hosted by a special guest and with live pianist, you can simply watch, or bring a showtune and some sheet music if you fancy a song!

Open to everyone, so even if you’ve not attended the show you can still drop in to join us for the after party.

Christmas with Danny Beard

Danny Beard, UK Drag royalty, brings a Christmas special exclusively to the Howard Assembly Room for two nights only this December – a spectacle of comedy, song, and unapologetic camp, showcasing their exceptional vocal prowess and magnetic stage presence.

The Liverpool-born drag sensation showcases an electrifying live music and comedy experience that fuses club kid aesthetics with classic drag performance style. They will be joined by a full live band and special guests for a 5-star night of flamboyant burlesque, killer vocals and snappy comedy, with a festive twist.

Christmas with Madeline Bell

Madeline Bell, the legendary New Jersey born vocal star, is coming to the Howard Assembly Room with a truly magical show this Christmas, joined by the UK’s own award winning jazz pianist and singer Ian Shaw.

Celebrating six fabulous decades, Madeline has many musical and showbiz stories to tell. A dazzling solo career has seen her touring with the world’s greatest orchestras, headlining The Talk of The Town, Ronnie Scott’s and the Soul Britannia tour.

Post-Crawl Quiz

After But I’m A Cheerleader, join us for a post-crawl quiz in Kino. Our host, Ellie Hales, is a film curator and programmer who is also known for her quiz mastery at Water Lane Boathouse and Belgrave’s Quiz of the Year.

She’ll be testing your attention, with rounds on the four films of the crawl, as well as some Leeds knowlege and cheerleading trivia!

Grab a drink, assemble your team and test your knowlege for the chance to win a prize!

But I'm A Cheerleader

When cheerleader Megan’s friends and family start to notice her homosexual tendencies, they send her away to a brightly coloured conversion therapy camp – lead by Mary Brown (Cathy Moriarty) and Mike (RuPaul). There, she’ll discover love, gay bars, and a sense of her own identity in this coming-of-age satire.
