Winterlight Festival is fast approaching when tales are told with family and friends. If all stories disappear and children can’t tell their own stories, their voices may be lost forever.

The Instituto Cervantes Leeds will be hosting an Open Day on Thursday, 12th September from 12pm to 7.30pm.
This free event will allow the public to immerse themselves in the vibrant world of Hispanic culture and language.

The Open Day will feature a diverse range of activities designed to engage visitors of all ages and language proficiency levels:
Spanish Language Level Tests: Attendees can assess their current Spanish language skills.

The brand new #RebelSelves Selfie App, designed to make selfies glitchy and fun, is now live. Created by artist Charlotte Roe, from Huddersfield, and Dr. Dawn Woolley, an artist and research fellow at Leeds Arts University.
Dawn says, "I have been interested in self-portraits and selfies for a long time, and in 2017 one of my self-portraits – The Substitute (holiday) won the Saatchi Gallery selfie competition and was named the world's best selfie by GQ magazine.
FLIP TOP HEAD
Bewitchingly melancholic, Flip Top Head present a chimera of scintillating, poetic grit and haunting vocals into post-rock soundscapes. The six piece are laying down a marker on the alternative scene for effortlessly fusing emphatic, cult-like live performances with layers of harmony and experimental instrumentation.
Leeds Arts University is excited to announce Beyond the Frame, our 2024 end of year exhibition which showcases the work of our talented postgraduate students.
Students from the University’s postgraduate courses will be showcasing their work at Slung Low's The Warehouse In Holbeck.
