Ribbons Public Launch | Women of Leeds Sculpture

Join us for the public launch event of the 'Ribbons' sculpture.

Nearly 400 inspirational Leeds women, voted for by members of the public, are being celebrated with a new sculpture in the heart of the city’s cultural quarter.

Created by artist, Pippa Hale, 'Ribbons' will be located at the top of the gardens between Leeds City College’s Quarry Hill campus and Leeds Playhouse at the gateway to the SOYO development at Quarry Hill, from October 2024.

We Three Things present a fabulously intimate live music experience, featuring the wonderful Marnie Glum. 

Shadow Brewing taproom provides the venue for what is West Yorkshire’s answer to Tiny Desk concerts. The intimacy of the space prompts excellent performances and a gorgeous atmosphere. The taproom has already played host to such greats as Dilettante, The Howl and the Hum, Green Gardens and Carpet.

Filmmakers For Change Film Festival

The film festival showcases work from filmmakers who want to make a difference by telling the stories of seldom heard communities and / or social issues such as poverty, migration, xenophobia, inequality, environment, mental health and /or war.

The film festival is held in exclusive venues around the UK & Europe for visitors from the public sector, government officials and third sector professionals who are looking to expand their outlook on social impact.

Odes and Proverbs

An afternoon performance of rich, moody choral music in the gorgeous, airy ambience of Holy Trinity Church, Boar Lane, Leeds.

The concert repertoire spans six centuries of choral music, with styles ranging from a set of intensely nostalgic part songs by Johannes Brahms to modern prayer settings by Knut Nystedt. The programme also includes pieces by Imogen Holst, Benjamin Britten and Galina Grigorjeva.
