International Day of Disabled People Marketplace 2024

You're invited!

Leeds is delighted to be celebrating International Day of Disabled People for the sixth year in Leeds. The theme this year is ‘Advocating for Accessibility’.

The free and inclusive event will feature a marketplace with over 20 stalls showcasing local disability support organisations. It promises to be a great day with: performances, guest speakers, an opportunity to discuss transport, an art zone, quiet sensory room and BSL interpreters.

The show brings to life a delightful cast of characters including Sam, the cocky teenager; Albert, the 96-year-old with a razor-sharp wit; and the Baby, who hilariously believes the world revolves around him.

Martin McAloon

4O YEARS: A VERSION

Martin is thrilled to be embarking on his second major UK tour this Autumn – The run of shows will include his first dates in Ireland for almost quarter of a century!

Although born with the open road in his blood, Prefab Sprout appear to have had a forty-year aversion to playing live and he hope these new shows “40 YEARS: A VERSION” will address his gigging addiction.

10cc's Graham Gouldman & Heart Full of Songs

It is only between 10cc’s sell-out, bi-annual UK tours that the band’s co-founder Graham Gouldman can fully indulge his Heart Full of Songs project and take it on tour.

As a result, the semi-acoustic four-piece returns in 2025, performing a broad range of Graham’s songwriting catalogue, including chart hits for 10cc, the Hollies, Herman’s Hermits, the Yardbirds and from his time in Wax with the late Andrew Gold.

An Audience with Mark & Lard

The 24th March 2004 saw the world heritage radio site of the Mark and Lard Show come to an end with a resounding: ‘STOP…!’

Now fully 21 years later we can finally complete that catchphrase with an equally resounding: ‘…CARRY ON!’

Like the day Neil Armstrong stepped on to the moon (if you were born then, if not, skip this bit) or when Alan Bradley got run over by a Blackpool tram on Coronation Street (ditto) – everybody can remember where they were on that fateful day in Radio 1 history. Listening to the radio. Obviously.
