Live Portrait Session with artist Joanna Jowett as part of Fearnville Fest on Saturday 29th March.

Who takes the photos in your family and what stories can a photograph tell? 

Join local artist Joanna Jowett and get playful around the green spaces of Fearnville to compose and make your own self- or group-portrait on black and white film.

Study Afternoon: Kirkstall Lives

Join our curatorial team to explore the rich history of this local area through photographs, documents, objects and oral testimony. We will look at education, industry, and recreation and explore the fascinating local stories and myths that have come to make up the heritage of the area we know today. Hot drinks, cake and biscuits provided.

Fearnville Fest

Fearnville Fest is a 2025 pilot programme supported by East Leeds Project, Space2 Leeds, and The Old Fire Station. 

We will be running events across the last weekend of March that support local creativity and community, centring around green space and ecologies. There will be free workshops, music, a publication launch, and more!
