Complicité | Worn

How do the threads of the clothes we weave around ourselves connect us as humans to the greater-than-human world?

From hand-me-downs to hauls, this is a physical, visceral story of fashion and the natural world. A return to the body and the act of wearing. A reconnection to nature and the means of making.

A devised piece of physical theatre inspired by the wardrobes of the MA Interdisciplinary Dance Performance students at NSCD and the discarded garments of Leeds.

Mississippi McDonald

Mississippi MacDonald: A Modern Master of British Blues

Oliver “Mississippi” MacDonald – a London-based singer, guitarist, and songwriter – may speak softly, but his music carries profound weight and gravitas.

MacDonald’s guitar prowess stems from his devotion to studying blues legends like the Kings – B.B., Albert, and Freddie – as well as the inimitable Albert Collins. He also draws deep inspiration from Southern soul icons like Z.Z. Hill and O.V. Wright, whose distinctive, blues-inflected vocal styles shape his own soulful delivery.

Thomas Heppell
