Who Am I When I'm With You? by Kai Brooks

Who Am I When I’m With You? The debut solo show from Coventry born artist and Assembly House resident Kai Brooks examines human connection through the medium of paint.

“This last year, more than any other, l've felt life change so quickly, people coming and going - new faces. Missing faces that aren't around so often anymore. Does that painting become a relic once you're gone? An old portrait is no longer a token of gratitude but a record of something that was. Either way, every minute that you sat opposite me as I painted will be held on that canvas.”

The day is marked by the receiving of ashes on the crown of the head as a mark of repentance for sins as this period of conversion and renewal in the faith begins.

There will be Mass at 8.00am, 12.30pm and 5.30pm.
