Index for Working Musik

Index for Working Musik emerged from the depths of an East End bunker in 2023 with Dragging the Needlework for the Kids at Uphole (Tough Love), a "Heroin Country" affair, followed by the experimental Indexe'e. 2024 saw the release of Purple Born, an 8-minute track that channels the likes of John Fahey and Polvo—leather boys, leather girls, and silly cuckoo clocks—and serves as the first signal of the future to come in 2025.

“Sexy and contagious” – Sounds of violence

Margo Cilker

Margo Cilker's sophomore album, Valley of Heart’s Delight, refers to a place she can't return: California’s Santa Clara Valley, as it was known before the orchards were paved over and became more famous for Silicon than apricots. In this 11-song follow-up to 2021's critically acclaimed Pohorylle, family and nature intertwine as guiding motifs, at once precious and endangered, beautiful and exhausting.

Miki Berenyi Trio

Miki Berenyi Trio are Miki Berenyi on vocals/guitar (Lush), Kevin ‘Moose’ McKillop on guitar (Moose) and Oliver Cherer (Gilroy Mere, Aircooled). The three musicians first worked together during Piroshka’s 2021 tour – Miki and Kevin being founder members, Oliver coming in on bass to replace Mick Conroy (Modern English) who had moved to the US.

Anika

Anika a.k.a Annika Henderson is a hybrid artist. The former journalist made a name for herself in the electronic music scene, with her experimental sound collages, confrontational texts and unique way of performing live solo. Her breakthrough came in 2010 with the release of the cult-hit, experimental LP, Anika (Stones Throw /Invada), which she recorded with Bristol band Beak>, a wholly unplanned affair, which began her ongoing investigation into the music, lm, poetry and arts scenes. One of her most known songs remains "I Go To Sleep," a cover of The Kinks' 1965 classic.

Tuesday Night Live: The Heathen Kings

The Heathen Kings are a three piece band from Yorkshire, now in their fifteenth year, their feet are firmly rooted in British folk and traditional music scene.

Performing traditional, borrowed and self-penned songs, their music ranges from high energy celebrations of this dynamic art form with three voices, guitars, bouzouki and electric bass, to intimate unaccompanied singing.
