Life Drawing with Rob Oldfield

Join us in our monthly life drawing class with Gallery favourite, experienced artist and tutor, Rob Oldfield.

This workshop is open to everyone, from newcomers who want to take up a hobby through to experienced artists looking to hone their sketching skills.

Materials including various papers, pencils, charcoal and drawing boards will be supplied, but please feel free to bring your own too.

Leeds Zine Library Lates! LGBT+ History Month

This month we have an LGBT+ History Month Leeds Zine Library Lates. Explore our collections, make zines and get involved with our craft activities.

The zine library late events happen on the last Wednesday of the month. Each month we have a workshop, activities and music, making it a great opportunity to meet new zine makers, get inspired by the library collections and learn new skills.

Freedom4Girls - Reusable Pad Sewing Workshops

Learn sewing machine skills to make your own pad and make pads to support women here and overseas. Drop in session.

During these sessions we are sewing reusable, washable period packs that will be distributed in Kenya and Uganda alongside quality menstrual health education.

We welcome all sewing abilities to get involved with the workshops. They are a fun, relaxing and productive way to spend an afternoon.

Musical Lino Prints with Saba Siddiqui - Learn Linocut

Join us to learn how to produce lino prints whilst celebrating the launch of the new Music Library - Have fun listening to your favourite music and responding to it in this relaxing print workshop.

Saba Siddiqui , emerging artist and printmaker will guide you through the skills needed to produce your musical prints using the press in the Drawing Room.

The newly opened Music Library has lots of CDs to borrow for inspiration or
feel to bring your own cd or record to play on the day! All materials are provided, and all participants will have access to a printing press.

Fashion Revolution Week at SCRAP – Drop in Mend, Repair, Upcycle Saturday

A free, drop in event to keep your fashion sustainable.

Come and join us in our Creative Reuse Hub on Saturday 26th April from 11am – 3pm to learn how to mend, repair and upcycle your clothes, share skills, finish projects and learn from others.

If you're aged 13 - 16 and are interested in coding, game and app development, robotics, AI, machine learning, 3D printing and more, then join us at our new code club in Studio 12!

You'll have free access to a wide range of technologies to explore, tinker with, and develop your skills in a friendly environment.

Bird and Botanical Glass Painting Workshop

In this fun and relaxed workshop you can paint an image onto a piece of glass 6 x 4  inches. You can learn about glass painting, enamels and glass frit and glass fusing processes.

No need for previous glass or painting experience and you can bring an image with you to design your own unique piece.

The artist will talk you through the process and will fire your piece in a Kiln for you to collect two weeks later,  wrapped and labelled for you.
