Lino Print A Tote Bag Workshop

Come along to this creative workshop and learn the basics of simple lino printing.

You will be guided through the process of how to create a striking lino cut, which is then used to create a block print.

When you are happy with your design you will print onto a tote bag, making a beautiful and unique accessory.

This workshop is led by local artist and professional workshop leader Vickie Orton, who spreads creativity and happiness across Yorkshire.

10am - 1pm

All materials included.

Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided during the break.

Mosaic Workshop – The Birds and the Bees

Create a unique piece of art for your home by making a gorgeous mosaic bird and bee.

You will learn -

how to cut tiles using hand-held wheeled nippers

how to lay the tiles in the correct patterns

how to grout (demonstration, as mosaics can’t be grouted on the day)

what glues are suitable

where to buy mosaic materials for any future projects

This course is suitable for complete beginners as well as those with some experience.

We will use washable PVA glue but you may wish to wear old clothing or bring an apron

Modern Calligraphy Beginners Workshop

Start your lettering journey in a friendly, calming and informative face to face workshop and begin a life long love of lettering.

In this two hour workshop learn how to hold the brush pen, experiment with basic stroke drills using a pencil and brush pen. Then move on to create beautiful letters and finally link letters to create words.

Queer-ying the Museum

Everyone is welcome to join in at the Royal Armouries at our Queer-ying the museum event to celebrate the end of LGBTQ+ history month, which explores the Royal Armouries collection through a queer perspective.

Kids Pizza Making Workshop

Come along to our kids pizza making class in February Half Term! We'll be hosting a mini pizza making class for little ones to get stuck into. Flatten out your dough before topping with a range of vegan and veggie-friendly toppings, before the pizza is baked and returned to you

An introduction to 5Rhythms® Waves with Ben Deutsch.

Want to move more freely, more consciously, more joyfully? This evening workshop with accredited 5Rhythms® teacher Ben Deutsch will be a space to re-connect with our bodies and to offer ourselves the freedom we crave. Using some simple exercises, well chosen music, intuition, and a dash of humour, Ben will hold space for the group to move individually and together.

Through movement, we will explore qualities of fluidity, clarity, surrender, ease and presence.

Avian Antics Family Easter Sewing Workshop with Hannah Gardiner

Under the careful guidance of Hannah, hand sew some adorable Easter novelties.

There will be a selection of 10 pre-cut items to choose from, including hanging decorations, purses, pin cushions and more. Most participants will be able to create 3-4 items during the workshop.

This session is perfect for for children ages 7+

Please note - tickets are for 1 parent or guardian and 1 child only. The parent/guardian is expected to stay for the duration of the workshop and help their child with their Easter crafting.

Introduction to Drawing with Paul Digby

Join artist and educator Paul Digby in this fabulous one day workshop.

Participants will explore a variety of materials, including graphite, pencil and pen, all while learning essential drawing methods such as line drawing, shading techniques (hatching, cross-hatching, and stipping), and the principles of composition.

The workshop emphasiseshands-on exercises, allowing participants to practice quick sketches, create shaded forms and develop small compositions that integrate learned techniques.

Make a Miniature Polymer Clay Pet with Georgia Osborn

Under the careful guidance of artist Georgia, you will first learn the basics of using polymer clay before moving onto designing your miniature pet and finally moulding them from polymer clay. Feel free to come prepared with ideas and photographs or let inspiration strike during the workshop!

Whilst the miniature pets are baking, you will craft tiny trinket homes for them from fabric and a matchbox.
