Art In The City

We are now taking our Art House art markets to the great outdoors! 2025 will see our new outdoor art markets popping up in the exciting commercial and residential walkways of Leeds City Centre as 'Art In The City'.

We start off our urban outdoor art events at the stunning newly developed Wellington Place, in the stimulating west end of the city,  centred around the prominent stone built Wagon Hoist legacy structure of the old Leeds railway station, now a railway and tram museum, just 5 minutes walk from Leeds City Square.

Science Cafe

Our regular Science Cafe returns once more with a veritable cornucopia of science. Each speaker has a quarter of an hour to talk, then you, the audience, take over. Whether you want to grill the speaker about generalities or pose a particular problem, the floor is yours.

Our cafe is just the place to sample some new science - and something from the bar!

Students in fulltime education FREE

Watch out for the speakers being announced closer to the time!

Leeds Cathedral: Ash Wednesday

Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of the Season of Lent.  Lent is marked by prayer, fasting, and almsgiving and lasts until the celebration of Easter (20th April 2025).

The day is marked by the receiving of ashes on the crown of the head as a mark of repentance for sins as this period of conversion and renewal in the faith begins.

There will be Mass at 8.00am, 12.30pm and 5.30pm.

Leeds St Patrick’s Day Parade 2025

Leeds St Patrick’s Day Parade is taking place on the Sunday 16th March 2025.

The parade procession will leave Great George Street at 11.00am and entertainment will start at the same time, in Millennium Square.

The large procession will go around the very centre of Leeds, for all to see.

Fantastic acts will be performing all day, as well as stalls of all kinds and amusement rides to enjoy.
