Discover the Tiny Totley Studio at Leeds Central Library during the Festival of Play and Creativity!

The Tiny Totley Studio is the creation of play-inspired artist Stephanie Jeffries and features a slide, a den, tactile objects and a sound installation unique to the building. Its introduction has brought new life to the early years area of the Children's Library, which still has a brilliant range of diverse book titles for under fives.

Little Leeds has a fun and playful space created with our own rascals in mind; somewhere to plan playdates, let little imaginations run wild and truthfully... give you five minutes of peace whilst your little ones aren't messing up the house!  Our little play area is unique to us and has been custom-designed for a joyful and pleasant play experience - it's not you're average soft play! 

We're offering half price play between October 25th - November 3rd for Leeds Festival of Play and Creativity!

Discover a Mini Playbox during the Leeds Festival of Play & Creativity!

Leeds Libraries' colourful Mini Playboxes are packed with fun and engaging self-serve activities for children under five and their families to enjoy in the library. 

Come along to our free flow, open ended play sessions.

Suitable for children who are confident on their feet up to the age of 6 (older siblings welcome )

These sessions are based around a story book.

For example -
Story of the week ‘Superworm’ by Julia Donaldson

Activities set up based on the story:

Clay worm making station
Worm hunting activity 
Worm measuring 
Mini beast exploration tray 
Worm digging station

The area will have invitations to play based around the story of the week.
