Tongueomania: Languages, Animals and Surrealist Anatomies

Explore the relationship between surrealist techniques and human and animal bodies in this free workshop.

Join visual poets Daniela Nicolaescu and Blaise Sales to create poetic collages about tongues (furry and otherwise), language and surrealist transformations, inspired by our current exhibition The Traumatic Surreal.

This workshop has been tailored for individuals aged 12 to 20 in mind, but all are welcome.

Make a Mug

Learn basic clay handbuilding skills while making a clay mug for your favourite drink!

In this creative hands on session led by Jo Woffinden, bring your own ideas to life while learning slab and surface texture techniques in ceramics. You will create a personalised mug for yourself or as a perfect gift!

Up to 4 students per session - enables one to one support and a relaxed environment to develop your clay working skills.

How to Paint a Bee Workshop

Join artist and illustrator Helen Broadhead for a fun filled 'How to paint a bee'  workshop.

This will be a fun, creative session learning how to paint a bee on canvas
We will use print making and various mark making techniques to create a fun background and then learn to paint the bee design.

Advanced Acting Course (16-18 year olds)

A 10 week acting training course for 16-18 year olds interested in professional acting and further training at HE level.

Train with University Centre Leeds to gain a headstart in the dynamic acting industry and gain valuable skills to prepare you for auditioning for professional work or higher level training.

The group meets Thursday 6:00-8:00pm beginning 23rd January 2025.

Collograph & Monoprint

Join us for a fun and interesting workshop exploring collograph and monoprinting techniques to create your own unique series of prints onto paper.
You’ll learn how to use our specialist equipment, etching presses and oil based inks. These collograph techniques will focus on creating a printing plate using various textures and you’ll use stencils to combine the process with monoprinting.
