If you're a space holder or holistic therapist and looking to authentically and respectfully add the use of ceremonial cacao to your services, then this is the course for you.
In this day class you will learn how to create a mixed media piece of textile art using paper, collage and unusual materials to create your own embellishments. Hayley will guide you through creating a textured paper collage ready to embellish with hand and machine embroidery as well as unusual materials like plastic and metal. You will learn how to combine these non-traditional materials to make your piece as well as using hand and machine embroidery to enhance your design.
In this day class you will learn how to create a design from a photograph (of a landscape, or portrait) and bring it to life using fabric and thread. Hayley will guide you through the basics of tracing a design, and transferring this onto to fabric ready to stitch using a variety of threads with some raw edge applique to add colour and texture.
You will also learn some simple hand embroidery stitches that create your embroidered picture including stem stitch, French knots and satin stitch.
'Garforth Nature Journal Club' will be held once per month at the Community Garden at the Lord Gascoigne pub.
Open to adults, and older teenagers accompanied by adults from Garforth and the local area.
Learn how to keep a nature journal, using words, pictures and numbers. A way to document your connection to nature where you live.
Our first session will be held on Saturday 5th April 10-12 am.

Learn sewing machine skills to make your own pad and make pads to support women here and overseas. Drop in session. During these sessions we are sewing reusable, washable period packs that will be distributed in Kenya alongside quality menstrual health education.
We welcome all sewing abilities to get involved with the workshops. They are a fun, relaxing and productive way to spend an afternoon.

You'll spend the morning learning how to make your very own stickers before breaking for lunch. After lunch you'll be delving into sign painting and making a sign to hang up at home!
All materials are included in the session and you will get to take home your creations.
Please send your children in clothes they dont mind getting messy.

Join our brilliant artists Lorna and Elnaz in the Stitch-Up Studio this Easter for a fun day of Easter making and creating!
You'll spend the morning learning how to weave with different yarns on a tapestry loom before breaking for lunch. After lunch you'll be making beautiful beaded windchimes!
All materials are included in the session and you will get to take home your creations.
