There’s a healing that happens when we read, write and embroider; words, meanings and memories become stitched into our souls and we understand their significance, why they resonate with us, why they have stayed with us. In the quiet moments of embroidery we listen to the whispers from the tender, hidden parts of our hearts and we understand ourselves more.
This workshop will combine a love of literature, poetry, embroidery, vintage French textiles and sumptuous silk threads (used by top Parisian design houses such ad Chanel and Dior). We will begin with inspirational poetry and then learn how to embroider text onto fabric using the finest of materials from France; Au Ver à Soie silk threads, vintage French linens from the oldest Flea Market in Paris and Bohin needles. The workshop will be a wonderful moment of inspiration, creativity, and craft.
After the workshop, you will have access to online tutorials by Rebecca so that you can continue your embroidery journey at home.
