Queen's 70th Jubilee Celebrations

Join us at Leeds Kirkgate Market where we’ll be celebrating the Queen’s Jubilee all week.

Monday 30 May to Friday 3 June

FREE Jubilee themed children’s crafts in the Market Kitchen.  Spot the Royals – have your photo taken in the 1904 Hall by our Royal Box and see if you can find the Queen in one of our units.

Thursday 2 June

The Queen’s Birthday Parade (Trooping the Colour) on the big screen in the Market Kitchen.

African And Caribbean Food Fest

Yes the news is finally confirmed!! Leeds'  colorful, vibrant and long serving street Carnival is BACK!

To coincide and in honour and recognition of this long historic legacy. Nubian Noire is proud to present for the second year running Leeds biggest, African and & Caribbean Food fest.

Come and taste mouth-watering, succulent, real Continental and Caribbean cuisines from around the world, showcased by some of the finest independent culinary chefs and emerging food vendors, citywide …

Mosaic Workshop at Kirkstall Forge

In this workshop we will turn mosaic tiles, broken crockery and lots of other up-cycled pieces into your mosaic works of art.

You will be able to choose from a large choice of base shapes to work on and learn the best adhesives to use of each one.

At the end of the workshop, you’ll be given a bag of grout to take home to finish your pieces at a later date – a demo will be done to show you what to do.

It's £25 per person // £22 Low/Unwaged/Students.

Summer Solstice Market & Celebration

It is with great pleasure that we’d like to wholeheartedly invite you to join us from 12 midday on Saturday 25th June as we celebrate the Summer Solstice and World Day for Cultural Diversity with an art market, workshops and open mic!

Come, let’s gather together, be joyous and celebrate the year’s longest day in the sunshine and celebrate the deep links between the environment, culture and arts. We invite you to dress traditionally, bring your favourite dish to share at our dinner (4-5:30pm), and share your stories face to face and on the mic!
