Join fibre artist Jane to create a unique hand embroidered patch using a template or your own imagination. You will be guided through choosing the right materials, designing your patch and embellishing it with simple embroidery stitches. Visual note-taking (sometimes called sketch-noting) adds doodles, sketches and symbols to your note-taking to increase focus in the moment, notice the most important parts of a talk, meeting, lecture, video, book or experience, and improve how much you remember in the long term.

Exploring Mark Making and Perspective in Drawing with Paul Digby

The Exploring Mark Making and Perspective in Drawing is a one-day workshop designed for both beginners and more advanced participant.

The workshop aims to enhance understanding of various mark-making techniques while developing skills in two-point and three-point perspective drawing. The day will begin with an introduction and a discussion of individual goals, followed by hands-on practice in mark-making techniques.

Stretch your legs with a relaxed stroll around the University of Leeds. Discover the fantastic Public Art on campus - highlights include work by Yorkshire's own Barbara Hepworth, and campus landmark, Keith Wilson’s ‘Sign for Art’ (the squiggles!)

As you walk round you will be guided through a series of quick and fun drawing activities inspired by the art you see.

Life Drawing with Rob Oldfield

Join us in our monthly life drawing class with Gallery favourite, experienced artist and tutor, Rob Oldfield.

This workshop is open to everyone, from newcomers who want to take up a hobby through to experienced artists looking to hone their sketching skills.

Kirkstall Neighbours - Collaborative Sculpture Workshop

Welcome to the Kirkstall Neighbours - Collaborative sculpture workshop! Join us for a fun and creative hands-on experience.

Take part in a collaborative workshop to create a sculpture inspired by the River Aire. Working together, we will create an installation using recycled materials and experimental techniques. The installation will explore the river’s flow and our interdependence with water. The final piece will be on display during the art trail.

No experience necessary, just bring your enthusiasm and willingness to get your hands dirty!

Stained Glass Saturday Workshop with Sam Yates (July)

Mixed ability stained-glass workshop. This workshop is suitable for both beginners and those with some experience.

Your incredibly talented tutor, Samantha Yates, will tailor the sessions to your experience level so you'll really get the most from this fabulous workshop.

During the session, you will learn how to use glass tools to cut and shape glass, understand the difference between copper foil and leaded technique and be able to produce a simple design which you will take home with you!!

Summer Art Market

Come and browse the beautiful artwork being sold by Pyramid artists and other local makers at Pyramid's Summer Art Market.

As well as featuring local artists, Pyramid will be running an art trail and family-friendly creative activities in their studio. There will also be a chance to enjoy some delicious refreshments and baked goods in Pyramid's newly renovated courtyard garden.

This is a fundraising event for Pyramid, and all money raised will go towards improving access and inclusion in the arts for people with learning disabilities.

Heritage Open Days: Tile Design Workshop

The Central Library Building by George Corson (1829-1910) offers spectacular interiors including the Tiled Hall and reflects Corson's eclectic interests which included Islamic architecture.

This is a chance for families and children to explore colour, geometry, and pattern through drawing, painting, collage, printing and decoupage.

Under 16's must be accompanied by an adult.
