Chapel FM's resident jazz big band presents a special concert in celebration of the 10th Anniversary of the Chapel FM Arts Centre.

November's "DJ Lubi Presents" show at Hyde Park Book Club Leeds is a real treat. One of the finest alt-folk/soul singers in the UK today showcasing her new EP - London-based singer, songwriter and guitarist, Olive Jones. She's joined by a Leeds music scene favourite as support act - singer/songwriter Kindelan. A perfect musical match.

Leeds has been jazz centre north in the last few years of the UK jazz explosion with bands/artists from the city like Jasmine Myra, TC & The Groove Family, The Sorcerers, Fergus Quill, Work Money Death and Ancient Infinity Orchestra breaking out and reaching national and international audiences.

The next big Leeds jazz breakout band looks like being NOVA.SOL They've been cooking up some great music live around Leeds in the last 12 months, usually as support or on multi-bill line-ups. Tonight they play their first big headline show.

The Art of Simon continue to perform an extensive range of songs made famous by Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel from the early years through to some of their solo hits. The duo has just returned from two sell out tours of southern Germany where they play to enthusiastic, capacity audiences.

Playing a modern style of jazz, they focus on creating strong melodies and rhythms that lead their detailed compositions. Heavily influenced by post bop and modern players, the Jack Pearce Quintet brings fresh life into the familiar with their mix of original compositions and reinvented jazz standards.
