Mark Thomas: Gaffa Tapes

Mark’s now famous mix of stand-up, theatre, journalism and the odd bout of performance art has made him one of our oldest surviving alternative comics. Often referred to as the ‘godfather of political comedy’ (among many other things), Mark has been performing comedy for nearly 40 years. With a recentish step towards theatre in his last few shows, Mark is back to his finest stand-up form and anti-Tory sentiment in Gaffa Tapes as he sets out on the road.

If you don’t know what Mark does, ask your parents.

Make a Spinning Ring in a Day with Toby Cotterill

In this session you’ll craft your own unique, silver spinning ring to take home with you. During the session you’ll cover basic jewellery making techniques including annealing, piercing, texturing, soldering and polishing, to create a ring with up to two spinning bands, in a choice of texture and materials.

Some people use these kinetic rings as a form of meditation as you can rotate the inner band/s and take a mindful moment for yourself.
