Bullring Techno Makeout Jamz

Trim? Fresh. Skin? Glowing. Vibes? Immaculate.

Run, Rebel

Pilot Theatre brings you an electrifying adaptation of Manjeet Mann’s acclaimed novel.

Amber is trapped – by her family’s rules, by their expectations, by her own fears. But on the running track she is completely free. As her body speeds up, the world slows down. And the tangled, mixed up lines in her head get s t r a i g h t e r . . .

Brighouse & Rastrick Brass Band

The Brighouse & Rastrick Brass Band is regarded by many as the best and most consistent 'public subscription band' in the world.

In its time, all of the premier band championships have been held by ‘Briggus’, whilst the band has also attracted a formidable reputation for highly entertaining concerts for both the general public and brass band connoisseur.

Emporium Curioso

All the curious items in the little shop have a story to tell. Some stories are sad, some are happy.

Some stories are scary, some will make you laugh. The shop is a kind of museum, specialising in trinkets, whispers, and forgotten chapters of lives lived and lives lost. Emporium Curioso is open; and all the objects in the shop have a story to tell. Why not come in and take a look around?

Danesha

“Sometimes I pretend I’m in a music video. And that I have a backing group. And they’re always black, even though I don’t have any black friends, in real life.”

All they play in Preston nightclubs is Little Mix and Miley Cyrus. How is Danesha the dancer supposed to vibe to that?

Danesha is a new coming-of-age story exploring black culture, queer joy and finding and loving your authentic self.

Follow the Signs

Once upon a time there was a boy from down the road
He contracted meningitis at the age of two years old
His life had been ok but now little did he know
His hearing was to leave him and was due to change his world

Tough Old Bird

A heartfelt musical journey of exploration, inspired by real life events. Tough Old Bird explores how women are viewed in society as they have the absolute gall to get older!

Have you ever noticed those adverts promising to ‘defy the effects of ageing’? Ooh Nana hates them. What about when we get old? Where’s the instruction manual? Who deems what is ‘acceptable behaviour’? What happens when your voice isn’t listened to, or you become slowly invisible?

Presented by Nana Funk, the great-great-grandmother of good times.
