Tyvek and Lutrador are a type of spun paper that is used for many purposes as well as to create interesting and unique textile artwork.
Tyvek and Lutrador can be painted and coloured, with the medium chosen for this affecting how they react to heat. Tyvek and Lutrador can be cut up and stitched, again the way that this is done affects the reaction to heat.
This workshops takes you through different colouring, stitching and heating methods to discover and explore the possibilities (and limitations) of both Tyvek and Lutrador. The first part of the workshop is spent creating samples using a range of techniques before creating your own mini piece of textile art. You will also learn how to make beads to add to textile work.
This workshop is suitable for people of all levels of experience.
