Join us for a programme of special tours exploring fascinating elements of Temple Newsam’s rich and varied history.  Subjects include power, art, costume and ghosts: these tours promise to reveal a different side to this magnificent house.

These tours will last between 1-1.5hrs.  Meeting point is the Great Hall, unless otherwise stated. Cost for the tours is £5 (plus house admission).

Thursday 11 September, 11am & 2pm

There are nearly 300 paintings on display at Temple Newsam. From old masters to portraits by Reynolds it is a staggering art collection. See some of the highlights and hear some of the stories behind the artworks.
